The Fourth of July is almost here, and warm weather is here along with everything else that it brings with it. Whether you enjoy barbecues, time spent with family and friends, or just relaxing after a long week at work, almost everyone can find common ground in one enduring tradition: fireworks. Although the International Freedom Fest is over - along with its fireworks display - here are other places to see fireworks in Michigan this Independence Day.
Albion: Friday at dusk, at Barnes Park.
Allen Park: Sunday at dusk, at Champaign Park.
Baldwin: Saturday at dusk, at Big Star Lake.
Battle Creek: Friday at 10:30pm, at the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival.
Beaver Island: Saturday at dusk on the harbor.
Dearborn: Friday at dusk, at Greenfield Village.
Grand Rapids: Saturday at 10:30pm, at Ah-Nab-Awen Park on the shores of the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids.
Kalamazoo: Saturday at dusk, at Kalamazoo Speedway.
Mackinaw City: Saturday at dusk, at Conkling Heritage Park.
Muskegon: Saturday at dusk, over Heritage Landing.
Rockwood: Friday at 10pm, at Lake Erie Metropark.
Saginaw: Saturday at 10:15pm, on Ojibway Island.
Traverse City: Saturday at 10:30pm, at the Traverse City Veteran’s Fireworks Show, over Traverse Bay.
Trenton: Saturday at dusk, at Rotary Park.
