Ray Price Recovering From Surgery
Ray Price is on the mend. CountryStandardTime.com says Country Music Hall of Famer had an operation last Tuesday after doctors found pre-cancerous polyps. Price had gone to the hospital a day earlier for routine tests. When his condition was discovered by a colonoscopy, he was immediately scheduled for surgery. Over the past few months Price had been losing weight, but at the time doctors believed the the 83-year-old performer was simply battling exhaustion. Price's publicist Marty Martel says the procedure was a, quote, "complete success." He notes that the singer, quote, "is making a slow, steady recovery with family and friends around him." Martel adds that Price is alert and extending his thanks to everyone who has been holding him and his wife, Janie, in their prayers. He also says Price anticipates being ready to return to the road in just a few weeks.
