John Mayer Throws Surprise Show At University of South Carolina
Singer John Mayer has some very happy fans at the University of South Carolina after throwing a free, surprise show there. UsMagazine.com reports that Mayer has been using the school's facilities to rehearse for his upcoming tour. He used his Twitter account on Tuesday night to invite students into his rehearsal space for a free concert. He then spent two hours playing for a crowd of 500 USC students. Mayer played hits like "Gravity" and "Heartbreak Warfare" and thanked the audience for coming to see him. He told them, quote, "This is the way you should rehearse a show." Mayer kicks off his tour Thursday, February 4th in Sunrise, Florida at the Bank Atlantic Center.
