Hearing Today About Sara Evans Restraining Order Against Ex-Husband
A hearing is scheduled for Monday regarding Sara Evans' restraining order against her ex-husband. "The Nashville Post" says the singer initiated the legal action against Craig Schelske last month, securing a temporary restraining order in an effort to block him from making, quote, "any derogatory statements about Evans to the media" and to keep him from making, quote, "allegations about what led to their divorce in the fall of 2007." The hearing is set for the Williamson County Chancery Court in Franklin, Tennessee.
Evans and Schelske's marriage ended in the fall of 2006 with the country star filing for divorce. At the time they both accused each other of infidelity, and they both denied having affairs. The high-profile split received additional media attention since it occurred while Evans was competing on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." The disruption in her family life prompted her to leave the competition. Evans has since remarried. Her divorce from Schelske became final in 2007, and in 2008 she tied the knot with Alabama sports radio personality Jay Barker. |
