Jay Sean Sweeps 2010 Asian Music Awards
British R&B artist Jay Sean has swept the 2010 Asian Music Awards. "BBC News" reports that the singer has won all four awards for which he was nominated. That includes Best Male, Best Album for "All Or Nothing," Best Urban Act, and Best Video for "Down." The awards ceremony was held in London at the Royal Festival Hall Thursday night. Sean told the BBC Asian Network that "it's a great feeling" to win all four of the awards. Up next for the 26-year-old is a collaboration with the "Queen of Hip-Hop Soul." He says, quote, "I've recently done a collaboration with Mary J. Blige. It was incredible and we are shooting the video in London." The Asian Music Awards highlight achievements in the British Asian music industry. Sean was born in West London and is of Punjabi Sikh [[ pun-JOB-ee seek ]] descent. |
