Dave Grohl, Jack White Featured On PBS Special Honoring Paul McCartney
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and The White Stripes' Jack White are some of the stars featured on the latest installment of the PBS series "In Performance at the White House." They were on hand for "Paul McCartney: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song In Performance at the White House," which was taped in the East Room of the White House last month. The event honored the former Beatle as the recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. For the event guests offered up a musical salute to the legendary rocker. Grohl contributes the Wings hit "Band on the Run," while White provides a rendition of The Beatles' "Mother Nature's Son." Other participants include Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Herbie Hancock, Faith Hill, and The Jonas Brothers, while McCartney also performed as well. "Paul McCartney: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song In Performance at the White House" will have its premiere on PBS Wednesday night. |
