Dina Lohan: Lindsay Is "Strong And Positive"
Dina Lohan says her famous daughter is staying "strong and positive" behind bars. The mother of actress Lindsay Lohan tells RadarOnline.com that conditions are rough, but her daughter is being treated well by detention officers and her fellow inmates. She is also shooting down a rumor that the "Mean Girls" star is receiving special treatment. Dina says, quote, "She doesn't have cell phone privileges. That's absurd. She doesn't even have a pillow to sleep on...She's treated like a common criminal." But she also says the actress and her family members are finally adjusting well to the incarceration. Dina says the family is happy that the sentence is almost over and that they aren't the same "hysterical mess" they were when it began. As for her daughter, she says, quote, "I'm so proud of Lindsay, she's been so strong and positive, even under what I consider to be extremely harsh punishment."
It's a sentiment echoed by Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley. She tells People.com that her client is now looking forward to her release. Holley says she isn't sure when Lohan's sentence will be completed, but says she sees a light at the end of the tunnel already.
